Alligator pie, alligator pie,
If I don't get some I think I'm gonna die.
Give away the green grass, give away the sky,
But don't give away my alligator pie.

The Sandwich Chronicles: Chicken Tandoori

As I said in my previous entry, I broiled one of the leftover marinated chicken breasts I did not use and made myself a sandwich. It was a super delicious sandwich!!
After slightly toasting two slices of Tuscan bread, I spread a little bit of butter all over the slices. I also took some of the leftover sauce, from the broiling pan, and used it as a spread. I shredded the chicken breast and placed it onto one slice of bread. I also added provolone cheese - which melted a bit because of the hot chicken - two strips of bacon and lettuce. Was it yummy? Why, yes! Yes, it was. My tummy was very happy, indeed.

The Sandwich Chronicles: BLT

Yep! Bacon, lettuce, tomato... So simple, yet so damn delicious.
I had this for lunch yesterday. So, I thought I'd write about it. Whatever.
You slice up some bread, such as Tuscan or sour dough or whatever kind of bread you like to eat.
You may toast your bread, if you wish. Cook the bacon - I put it in the microwave on a bacon rack for 5 to 6 minutes. Slice up some tomatoes and break the lettuce. Spread mayo on the bread, once it's done toasting. I also like to add honey mustard because it tastes really yummy. Pile your tasty sandwich up high with the B and the L and the T [personally, I prefer BTL - does it really matter?]. And then you eat it.

Peace out, sandwich lovers. I'm taking a nap.

The Sandwich Chronicles

I think I'll post a lot about sandwiches in the near future. I love me some sandwiches! And this will help me experiment more, maybe with shapes and sizes and all sorts of ingredients! Stay tuned for THE SANDWICH CHRONICLES. *cricket noise*
Speaking of sandwiches, I used that naan bread again for lunch today! Scroll down to see an earlier entry, Pizza, where I mention naan bread for the first time.

I decided to make a sandwich with the garlic naan. Yay, first sandwich to appear in The Sandwich [or Sammich] Chronicles!
I toasted the naan bread, as it was frozen, for about 5 minutes. After taking it out of the toaster oven, I spread a little bit of butter on it to moisten and bring out the garlic flavour. I let it cool off a bit before I cut the thing in half [it doesn't really matter which way you cut it - whatever suits your fancy]. Then I mixed mayo and honey mustard together before spreading it onto both halves of the bread. I took a few slices of oven-roasted turkey sandwich meat, two slices of provolone cheese, one slice of colby jack cheese, and lettuce. I piled it high, put the other half of the bread on top, and cut the sandwich in half. Next time, I think I'd like some bacon to make it a super awesome club sandwich.
More sandwiches coming soon!
